overwing
Over the airfoil
Overwing describes something positioned on or above an aircraft's wing.
The term appears most often in compound forms like overwing exit, the emergency door located above the wing that passengers seated nearby must be prepared to operate.
Airlines sometimes charge extra for overwing seats because of their additional legroom.
The flight attendant asked if I was willing to assist at the overwing exit.
