quadrotor
Hovering camera platform
A quadrotor is an aircraft lifted and propelled by four rotors, typically arranged in a square configuration.
The term is largely interchangeable with quadcopter.
Most consumer drones are quadrotors—the four-rotor design provides stability and maneuverability without the mechanical complexity of traditional helicopter rotors: The quadrotor hovered steadily while filming the wedding.
