flight controller
Spacecraft systems monitor
A flight controller is a person who monitors and directs aircraft or spacecraft operations from the ground.
In aviation, flight controllers work in control towers guiding takeoffs and landings.
In spaceflight, teams of flight controllers at mission control manage everything from launch to landing: The flight controller gave the go for liftoff.
The term also applies to electronic devices that stabilize aircraft or drones, interpreting pilot inputs and adjusting control surfaces or motors accordingly.
