A quadcopter is a small aircraft lifted and propelled by four rotors arranged in a square configuration.
Most consumer drones are quadcopters, used for aerial photography, racing, or recreation: She flew her quadcopter over the beach to get footage of the sunset.
The four-rotor design allows stable hovering and precise maneuvering.
