octocopter
Multi-rotor flying machine
An octocopter is a drone or unmanned aerial vehicle with eight rotors.
The additional rotors provide greater lift capacity and stability compared to quadcopters, making octocopters suitable for carrying heavier payloads like professional cameras or surveying equipment: The film crew used an octocopter for aerial shots.
