paramotor
Backpack aircraft engine
A paramotor is a motorized paraglider—a lightweight aircraft consisting of a fabric wing and a backpack-mounted engine with a propeller.
The pilot launches by running until the wing inflates and lifts off, then controls direction by shifting weight and pulling brake toggles.
Paramotoring requires less training and expense than most powered flight: He bought a used paramotor and learned to fly in a week.
