responder
One who reacts
A responder is someone who responds—to a question, a situation, or an emergency.
The word appears most often in compounds: first responders are police, firefighters, and paramedics who arrive at emergencies; survey responders answer questionnaires.
In medicine, a responder is a patient who shows improvement from treatment: She was a good responder to the medication.
