network card
Internet access component
A network card is a hardware component that allows a computer to connect to a network, whether wired or wireless.
Also called a network interface card (NIC) or network adapter.
Most modern computers have network capability built into the motherboard rather than requiring a separate card: I upgraded the network card to get faster Wi-Fi speeds.
