transfer rate
Bits per second
Transfer rate is the speed at which data moves from one location to another, typically measured in bits or bytes per second: The USB 3.0 port has a much faster transfer rate than the old 2.0.
In computing and networking, transfer rate determines how quickly files download, streams buffer, or backups complete.
The term applies to any medium—network connections, storage devices, or wireless signals.
