matzohs

Flat Seder bread

Matzohs is the plural of matzoh, the unleavened flatbread eaten during Passover.

Jewish tradition holds that the Israelites fled Egypt too quickly for their bread to rise, so matzoh commemorates that haste.

Also spelled matzos, matzahs, or matzas, depending on transliteration preference.
