jets
Turbine-powered aircraft fleet
Jets are powerful streams of fluid—water, air, or gas—forced through a narrow opening: The fountain sent jets of water into the air.
A jet is also an aircraft propelled by jet engines, or the engine itself.
To jet is to travel by jet aircraft or to move rapidly: She jetted off to Paris.
In pool and billiards, jets can mean runs or streaks of successful shots. (Capitalized Jets refers to the New York sports teams.)
