propeller planes
Blade-driven flying machines
Propeller planes are aircraft powered by one or more propellers—rotating blades that pull or push the craft through the air.
The term distinguishes them from jet aircraft: We took a small propeller plane to the island.
Also called prop planes.
Most light aircraft and many regional commuters remain propeller-driven.
