jet lag
Transmeridian travel fatigue
Jet lag is the fatigue and disorientation that follows rapid travel across time zones.
The body's internal clock remains synced to the departure location while the external world operates on a different schedule: I'm still dealing with jet lag from the Tokyo trip.
Symptoms include disrupted sleep, difficulty concentrating, and general malaise.
Eastward travel typically produces worse jet lag than westward.
