ice boat
Sailed lake sled
An ice boat is a lightweight craft with runners or blades that sails across frozen lakes or rivers, propelled by wind.
The design resembles a sailboat mounted on skates rather than a hull.
Ice boats can reach remarkable speeds on smooth ice, often faster than conventional sailboats in equivalent winds: The ice boat raced across the frozen bay.
