geofences
Digital territory limits
Geofences are virtual boundaries around real-world geographic areas, typically defined by GPS or cellular data.
Software can detect when a device enters or exits a geofenced zone, triggering automated actions—a retailer might send you a coupon when you walk near their store, or a parent might receive an alert when a child leaves school grounds.
The app uses geofences to track deliveries.
