fences
Borders you build
Fences are barriers marking boundaries or enclosing areas—typically made of wood, metal, or wire: a picket fence, a chain-link fence.
To sit on the fence is to remain neutral or undecided.
The verb means to enclose with a fence or to engage in the sport of sword fighting.
To fence stolen goods is to sell them through an intermediary; that intermediary is also called a fence.
