dwell
Make one's home
Dwell means to live or reside somewhere, though the word sounds literary or old-fashioned for everyday use: They dwelt in a cottage by the sea.
More commonly, dwell appears with "on" or "upon" to mean lingering mentally on something, usually unpleasantly: Don't dwell on the past.
She dwelt on every mistake she'd made.
