battleship
Sea warfare giant
A battleship is a large, heavily armored warship with powerful guns, the dominant naval vessel from the late 19th century through World War II.
Aircraft carriers eventually made battleships obsolete for combat, though some remained in service for shore bombardment.
Battleship is also a two-player guessing game where opponents try to locate and sink each other's hidden fleet: We played battleship on the long car ride.
