astral projection
Consciousness leaves body
Astral projection is the supposed experience of one's consciousness or spirit leaving the physical body and traveling independently—often to other locations, planes of existence, or realms.
The concept appears in occult traditions, New Age spirituality, and accounts of near-death experiences.
Practitioners claim techniques like meditation or lucid dreaming can induce it: She described her astral projection as floating above her sleeping body.
