spirit world
Where ghosts dwell
The spirit world is the realm where spirits, ghosts, souls, and supernatural beings are believed to exist—separate from but sometimes overlapping with the physical world of the living.
The concept appears across religions and cultures, from ancestor veneration to séances: The shaman journeyed to the spirit world to seek guidance.
Also called the spirit realm.
