Twitter was a social media platform launched in 2005, known for short posts called tweets.
The platform rebranded as X in 2023, though many still call it Twitter from habit: I saw it on Twitter.
As a verb, to Twitter something meant to post it there. (Lowercase twitter is a bird sound or nervous chatter.)
