retweet
Spread someone's post
Retweet is a Twitter/X term for sharing someone else's post to your own followers.
As a noun, it's the shared post itself; as a verb, it's the act of sharing: That tweet got thousands of retweets.
A retweet can be plain (sharing without comment) or quoted (adding your own text).
The abbreviation RT often precedes manually copied tweets.
