Phone screen interruptions
Notifications are alerts or messages that inform you something has happened or needs attention.
In digital contexts, notifications appear on phones, computers, and apps to announce new messages, updates, or activity: I had to turn off notifications because they were constant.
The singular notification can also mean formal notice of something official: notification of termination.
