Tanakh

Jewish holy book

The Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible—the canonical collection of Jewish scriptures comprising three sections: Torah (the five books of Moses), Nevi'im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings).

The name is an acronym from these three Hebrew words.

Christians know much of this material as the Old Testament, though the arrangement and emphasis differ.

She studied Tanakh at the yeshiva.
