NIV
Modern scripture version
NIV is an abbreviation for the New International Version, a widely used modern English translation of the Bible.
First published in 1978, it aims for a balance between word-for-word accuracy and readability: The NIV is the translation my church uses.
It remains one of the bestselling Bible versions worldwide.
