Ezekiel

Babylonian captivity prophet

Ezekiel is a Hebrew name meaning "God strengthens," borne by an Old Testament prophet who wrote the Book of Ezekiel during the Babylonian exile.

The name remains in use today, often shortened to Zeke: Ezekiel was born in Houston but grew up in Atlanta.

The biblical book is known for vivid apocalyptic imagery, including the valley of dry bones and the vision of wheels within wheels.
