Euclid

Alexandria's geometry teacher

Euclid was a Greek mathematician who lived around 300 BCE, known as the father of geometry.

His treatise *Elements* systematized mathematical knowledge and established the axiomatic method—building complex proofs from simple, self-evident principles.

Euclidean geometry, based on his work, describes flat space and remains foundational in mathematics education.

We learned Euclidean proofs in high school.
