Catholic Bible
Rome's sacred text
The Catholic Bible is the collection of sacred texts recognized by the Roman Catholic Church, containing 73 books—the same 66 as Protestant Bibles plus seven additional books (Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and 1 and 2 Maccabees) and additions to Esther and Daniel.
Protestants call these extra books the Apocrypha; Catholics call them deuterocanonical.
She grew up reading the Catholic Bible and was surprised to find Protestant versions shorter.
