doc
Informal file type
Doc is an informal title or form of address for a doctor, especially a physician: What's the diagnosis, doc?
It can also refer affectionately to anyone with expertise: He's the doc when it comes to fixing cars.
In computing, doc is short for document, appearing in filenames and as slang for documentation: Read the docs before asking questions. (Capitalized Doc is a name or nickname.)
