Kamchatka

Russia's eastern finger

Kamchatka is a remote peninsula in far eastern Russia, extending south into the Pacific Ocean between the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea.

Known for volcanic activity, wilderness, and extreme isolation, it appears in the board game Risk as a strategically positioned territory connecting Asia to North America: I held Kamchatka to block his invasion.
