pumice
Lava foam stone
Pumice is a lightweight volcanic rock, pale and full of holes from gas bubbles trapped as lava cooled rapidly.
Its rough, porous texture makes it useful for scrubbing—removing dead skin from feet, cleaning stubborn stains, or smoothing surfaces.
As a verb, to pumice is to rub with this stone: She pumiced her heels in the bath.
