House of Representatives
Congressional lower body
The House of Representatives is the lower chamber of a bicameral legislature, particularly the larger of the two houses of the United States Congress.
Members represent districts based on population, with more populous states getting more representatives.
The House initiates revenue bills and holds the power of impeachment.
The bill passed the House but stalled in the Senate.
Many countries with bicameral systems have similarly named bodies.
