Duma
Kremlin's lower house
The Duma is Russia's parliament or legislative assembly.
Historically, dumas were advisory councils under the tsars; the modern State Duma is the lower house of Russia's Federal Assembly, established after the Soviet collapse.
The Duma voted to approve the measure. (Lowercase duma is the generic term for such assemblies.)
