Folkestone
English Channel town
Folkestone is a coastal town in Kent, southeastern England, facing the English Channel.
Long a seaside resort and fishing port, it gained strategic importance as a ferry terminal and the British entrance to the Channel Tunnel.
We caught the train from Folkestone to Paris.
