shops
Visits the mall
Shops are retail stores where goods are sold.
The word is more common in British than American English, where store predominates.
To shop is to visit such places looking to buy things: I need to shop for groceries.
A shop is also a workshop or place where things are made or repaired: auto body shop, machine shop.
To shop around is to compare options before committing.
To talk shop is to discuss work matters in a social setting.
