Sandwich

Historic Kentish port

Sandwich is a town in Kent, England, and an earldom title.

John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich, lends his name to the food—reportedly because he wanted meat between bread so he could eat without leaving the gambling table.

The Sandwich Islands was Captain Cook's name for Hawaii. (Lowercase sandwich is the food.)
