Crew
Ship's collective staff
A crew is a group of people working together, typically on a ship, aircraft, or film production.
The word emphasizes coordinated effort toward a shared task: The film crew worked through the night to finish the scene.
Crew extends to any close-knit group, including one's circle of friends in casual usage: I'm hanging with my crew tonight.
As a verb, to crew means to serve as a member of such a group.
Crew is also the sport of competitive rowing, or a verb meaning to participate in it.
