blackjack

Hit or stand

Blackjack is a casino card game where players try to reach 21 without going over, also called twenty-one.

The name comes from a bonus paid for an ace with a black jack (spades or clubs).

Blackjack also refers to a short, leather-covered club used as a weapon, typically filled with lead: The mugger carried a blackjack.

As a verb, to blackjack someone is to strike them with such a weapon or to coerce them.
