pit boss
Oversees the dealers
A pit boss is the casino employee who supervises a section of the gaming floor, overseeing dealers, monitoring for cheating, and handling disputes at the tables.
The pit is the sunken area surrounded by gaming tables where staff work.
Pit bosses watch both players and dealers, ensuring games run fairly and house rules are followed: The pit boss comped our drinks after the dealer's mistake.
