yucca
Arid rosette plant
Yucca is a plant native to hot, dry regions of the Americas, characterized by stiff, sword-shaped leaves and tall clusters of white flowers.
Several species are common in desert landscaping and as houseplants.
The yucca root is edible and appears in Latin American cooking, though this is often confused with yuca (cassava), a different plant entirely.
