inflorescence
Botanical bloom grouping
Inflorescence is the arrangement of flowers on a plant, or a cluster of flowers so arranged.
Botanists classify inflorescences by their branching patterns—whether flowers attach directly to a main stem or branch off secondary stalks.
The term also refers to the process of flowering itself: The plant reaches inflorescence in early summer.
