Unwanted tissue lumps

Tumours is the British spelling of tumors—abnormal growths of tissue in the body.

A tumour forms when cells multiply uncontrollably, creating a mass that may be benign (harmless) or malignant (cancerous).

The word applies both to specific growths and to the condition generally: tumour growth, tumour suppression.
