glioma

Glial cell cancer

A glioma is a tumor arising from glial cells—the supportive tissue of the brain and spinal cord.

Gliomas account for most primary brain tumors and vary widely in aggressiveness, from slow-growing to highly malignant forms like glioblastoma.

The MRI revealed a glioma in the left temporal lobe.
