mammography
Chest tissue imaging
Mammography is X-ray imaging of the breast, used primarily to screen for breast cancer.
A mammogram can detect tumors too small to feel.
Regular mammography is recommended for women over a certain age, though guidelines vary: She schedules her mammography every year.
The technique may also evaluate breast lumps or other symptoms.
