Towed mobile homes
Trailers are previews shown before feature films, advertising upcoming releases—so called because they originally trailed after the main attraction.
The term extends to any short promotional video: movie trailers, game trailers, book trailers.
A trailer is also a wheeled vehicle towed behind another: a semi-trailer hauled by a truck, a camping trailer, or a mobile home.
In this sense, trailer can carry class connotations: trailer park, trailer trash.
To trailer something is to transport it on a trailer: We trailered the boat to the lake.
