singlewide
Narrow mobile home
A singlewide is a mobile home built as one unit, typically 14-18 feet wide, designed to be transported on its own chassis.
Contrast with doublewide, which consists of two sections joined on-site.
The term often carries class connotations in American speech: They grew up in a singlewide in rural Kentucky.
