equipment

Tools and supplies

Equipment is the set of tools, gear, or supplies needed for a particular purpose: camping equipment, medical equipment, gym equipment.

The word is uncountable—you don't have "an equipment" or "equipments," but rather a piece of equipment.

Equipment can also refer to mental or emotional resources: He lacks the emotional equipment to handle criticism.
