summoner
One who beckons
A summoner is one who summons—calls someone to appear or brings something forth.
The word appears most often in fantasy contexts, where a summoner conjures creatures or spirits: The summoner called forth a demon from the void.
In legal or historical usage, a summoner is an official who issues summonses requiring court appearance.
