familiar
Not at all strange
Familiar describes what you know well through repeated exposure or experience: a familiar face, familiar surroundings, a familiar tune.
To be familiar with something is to have knowledge of it.
The word also describes behavior that's overly casual or presumptuous: He got a bit too familiar with me.
A familiar is also a spirit or animal companion to a witch, supposedly aiding in magic.
