offering
Something freely given
An offering is something given or presented, often with a sense of generosity or purpose.
The word carries a slightly formal or ceremonial tone: religious offerings to a deity, a company's stock offering, or the offerings at a fundraiser.
More casually, it describes what's available: The restaurant's lunch offerings are limited.
To make an offering is to give something up—sacrifice implied.
